a full cd (which most will probably use for coasters to protect that fine coffee table) is closer to becoming a reality. 14 songs recorded. Mixed 6 over the weekend at Global Sound Studio in Colorado where I have been doing all the work. The first six mixes are available for streaming on my www.rogerholzheimer.comsite. I Saw You I like a lot (with added third verse). Found and Ghost I like. Trying to decide if I like Your Window. REAL mixed feelings about Little Too and Younger. Younger was a vocal stretch after a long day but surprisingly the engineer liked it best. No explaining taste. Well, anyway, they are out there. If you want, let me know what you think, or not, your call. Thanks and looking forward to the reunion tour . . . . . . Welcome back Fun . . . Roger

Rog - I'm listening to 'Ghost' now (well, I had to compare it, didn't I?). Is it just acoustic, bass & drums? Good clean mix, but I'd just have to keep adding stuff. Strings at least? Looking forward to hearing the completed disc.

i know mike. i love what you did with that song. (for anyone who wants to hear that one and see the difference it is song number 7 on www.rogerholzheimer.com ). and actually on this new one there is nothing but my guild D55 (which records like a dream) and the session drummer. none of what i have done has any bass. a few keyboard but that is it. thanks for listening mike, i wouldn't even have gotten this far if you hadn't pushed me a bit . . . .

Hey Roger, Your CD has been a long time in the making (which is a good thing; not a bad thing) and in a real studio. Can't wait until you're finished. Anyway, thanks for pulling out the PS5 again.

Hi Roger,
I Saw You is my favorite. I love simple acoustic songs made more dramatic by orchestral style backing. I would rate the rest in the order:
Window. Found. Little Too. Ghost. Younger
I think all of the rest except Younger could use some additions, maybe just Strings as Mike mentioned, and/or not too complicated background electric or solo electric here and there. I think the key would be adding things in such a way as to NOT lessen the importance of that great sounding acoustic to the general feeling of each song. This is just my taste in music of course. I realize that the simplicity of the just having the acoustic and drums would be more appealing to others -- probably you among them.
My flawed hearing prohibits me from being able offer comments on the mixes, other that to say they sound pretty darn good to me.

Roger,
Just as the engineer, I like Younger best. I think that this is the strongest song of the lot.
Well, no explaining taste, indeed...
