Hi fellas. I got a little Flip cam that can upload videos directly to a website! I posted two this weekend on my mySpace music page if anyone wants to see my film debut! hah! I covered a friend's song called Wake Me Before I Die and Neil Young's After the Gold Rush (where I used my Digitech Vocalist 4). Today I am working on John Mayer's Heart of Life using my Boss Loop, and if all goes well, I'll put that up tonight or tomorrow. By the way, I'm doing an open mic night on Wednesday. I'm so excited!

The lady singing "live" ! Well done, GF ! Now I'm the one asking a technical question : what is a "flip camera" please ??
Whatever it is, one thing's for sure : I don't need one. Frenchie Chris singing live on video would be a lot less charming than this. So...

Very nice. It's always good to watch an experienced live musician at work. I don't miss it, tho!

Chris, I have posted a link here to the flip video camcorder if you want to check it out. It's really designed for You Tube, My Space, and fun e-mail sharing more so than for archival quality video of family, etc.... www.theflip.com/

GF, There's been all kinds of family issues going on as well as having 2 families stay at the house last week until yesterday. I tried to make it out on myspace last night but didn't get very far.
I hope to be able to get to watch your videos soon. Good luck Wednesday nite!

Thank you Stan! I hope everything is Ok with you and your family. Peace and blessings......
I actually put a third video up today. This newest one is using my loop station. Nothing is polished or perfected, and all is very simple in typical GF style. As I explain in my blog, it's just a chance to let my friends out there see me "on the fly." This is kinda how it looks when I'm just practicing and playing around with sound at home. Plus it gives people a chance to see the equipment being used. Forces me to practice and get better at it.
I can't WAIT for Wednesday!!!! :-)

GF, I enjoyed your trio of songs. The loop station got pretty boomy in spots on your last one so it was harder to make out everything. It would be a nice concept to be able to record as you take the Flip video and then sync up the recorded audio sound with the video but it seems like it would be a bit of work to pull off.
The basic unplugged guitar came through the internal mic best but I sure did like your female harmonized version of "After The Gold Rush."
P.S. - the family issue was one of my beautiful nieces but it's now up to God to where she spends her eternity.
