Gosh how long has it been since I had something to post? talk about your writers block www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=269205&songID=6869001This one is all PS5. MIDI bass and drums, two guitars and a vocal. Comments welcome. I have only mixed and listened to it in phones, which gives me a pretty decent result for use in the car. I suspect the bass may be boomy with speakers. Tom

Tom, I like the entire feel of the song. Lead guitar sounds really good, might have chosen a diff effect on the other guitar; but that is just pref. and there was sure nothing wrong with your playing. A vocal harmony addition during choruses could really finish this off, or maybe a bit more presense in the vocal track.
Thanks for sharing, Really cool song!

Good solid backing. I'm listening with phones too, and I can feel the bass is smashing way down low. Would probably rattle the doors off in speakers.
I'd like to hear a bit more vocal, or as Stan said, some more presence. It's a bit flat.
With one extra track, a little sweetner would be all this needs. If you can't get a vocal harmony, even some tambo in the choruses and maybe throughout the last verse/chorus/fade would be enough.
Do more, Tom! Sounds like the best song ZZ never wrote!

Good song, Tom, and very well done too.
I've listened to it with speakers : no, it doesn't rattle the doors off (not my doors, anyway).
If you'd had more tracks, you would have probably laid down a vocal harmony track, but well, a 4TR has 4 tracks, so...
Some serious guitar playing !
I like it.

Thanks to all for the listen and feedback. Leave it to you Stan to easily notice the same effect on both guitars. Its #23 on the Digitech, accidently through the 12-string effect on the PS5 (my other favorite) because I forgot to turn it off . Wish I had remembered on one of the tracks -- woulda made the guitars sound a little different! Re the vocal to me it sounds too loud at times, but yeah it could have more presence, especially in the chorus. I fiddled around with some harmony for a while, but only came up with a phrase here and there in the verses -- nothing much in the choruses, or at least not in my range. The mic and preamp are still out and hooked up -- might give it another go tomorrow. ZZ indeed Mike -- hybrid blues/rock/boogie. I do like the style, and have been playing it just about as long as they have. I would like to do more, but creativity comes in short spurts these days. Thanks again guys. Tom
