I recorded this song (True North) on my iPad Garage Band App using an Apogee iMic plugged into it. It's a live recording so, the mic is just set out, and I'm playing and singing simultaneously, not tracking vocals and guitar separately, although you can do that on the iPad. I used the Moonbeam effect for drama. Funny thing is I wrote this song to be a rock tune, and when I play it live, that's how I play it...fast with strumming. But when I sat to record it on my tablet, this is how it felt. It's fun expressing the tunes in different ways. Anyhoo....here's the YouTube of it. I've been making YouTubes along with posting mp3's on Reverbnation, because iOS smartphones don't support flash media, so my iPhone listeners can't stream the mp3 on their devices. For some reason, they can hear YouTube music, so I do both.

You kids and your new-fangled gadgets! A lovely recording, but I think the "moonbeam" FX gets old after awhile. I like it on the intro, but I'd like it a lot more if it stopped after that when we get into the 'meat & potatoes' of the song proper. Then just on the last line at the end. But that's just the producer in me talking. My apologies for taking two weeks to get around to listening; I kept putting it off and putting it off. Today I decided to put it on instead.
