Goodbye has been mastered! :-)

So here's a dream come true project I was lucky enough to experience. I'd written and demoed a tune named Goodbye. A composer in NY heard it and wrote a score for a string quartet to accompany my guitar and other instrument parts I'd created, and I actually got to go to a pro sound studio and bring it to life with the Axiom quartet!!! Loved the drums and violin parts!!!! It reminded me a little of a Natalie Merchant tune from 10,000 Maniacs!

In my headset it seems to be purposely panned very wide... maybe to give that wide-open sound separation.

I can hear the Natalie Merchant bit as well; also several other successful female singer-songwriters.

The production is nice and crisp, with an excellent arrangement that brings out the best in the material. It would have been hard for me to not let it go on for another minute or so; why give up when the getting is so good? It certainly makes you hunger to hear the 'rest of the album'.

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. And to think it all started with a guitar and a little 4-track.
