One of the things I like about your playing Stan, is that you have absolutely no fear. You'll tackle anything - modern C&W, Hendrix, Clapton, etc. Doesn't matter to you.
This is a pretty good example - playing is fine throughout. Backing tracks are great, and really help support the guitar. I think the vocal is too far back in the mix, both FX and level-wise. The ending is ... different. I don't recall how Jimi did it, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that! An exciting surprise.

Thanks Mike. You know that I just love to record songs. It's my escape from the daily bummers that I can just get away from for a while. Music does something in all of us, and IMO it's almost always for the good. In a small way it can be a common understanding shared between us that can't be found visually but can sometimes be more at a spiritual level. I'm sure Jimi actually did the ending all on his guitar fx. I may have time today to play with the mix some more (vocals).
Mike your suggestions are always solid and you are still teaching us even after 10 years. This has been a valuable forum for several of us to learn from and to grow. Your input is very valuable and much appreciated.

Stan your awesome, this is very cool. You really manage to create so much energy in your recordings. This truly has a live feel but is very polished. Drums are fantastic by the way. Do I detect some acoustic gtr picking? Sounds great.
I've never heard the original before Stan. On its own merit I think this is fantastic. Great work!
