Hey guys I got another one for you all to critique for me... This one is a brand new one... Though the main riff has been on my hard rive for a year or so. I think this one will definitely be on the album. I'm not a hundred percent sure what to name it but "I miss You" seems best I think as its less misleading I think. If y'all have any thoughts I like to know. This one is a very personal track... Let me know if the piano tuning bothers you, I find it slightly out for some reason but I think its acceptable. Using Capos on guitars I think may have mucked up some of the intonation. I tried tuning the piano up a bit but it seems to be only for some notes and not other ugh. Definitely let me know your thoughts on any improvement to be made as I plan on putting this on the album. https%3A//soundcloud.com/latmat/i-miss-youThank you all, I look forward to hearing back from you all (Both? ) Cameron .... See post three for newest version...

I like it. A lot. A very mature track, with impeccable playing & production throughout. I was concerned there was not going to be any contrasting dynamics to change things up, but the bridge section saved the day. Having it so close to the end works very well I think, by not being 'formulaic'.
The piano only sounds 'off' in the second verse, not anywhere after. It may indeed be capo'd guitars vs. an odd keyboard voicing, but I wonder if I would have noticed at all if you hadn't mentioned it. I'd say leave it unless you get a lot of unsolicited comments about it.
Otherwise, the only suggestion I could make would be to tweak the backing vocals at the end to sound female. It's okay with you doing it, but it struck me that hearing one or two black female voices might be better. I don't know if you have the software that could change the gender of vocal tracks; if so, it might be worth a try.

Hey Mike
Thanks for the kind words. I too thought the structure was a nice change as well. I think it works well too.
I made some changes to the track, I changed the little interlude to more of a piano lead interplay vs the blues-esque guitar lead. I think this works better and fits the tone of the track a bit better. Well unfortunately I can't make myself sound like a gospel choir lol but I tried my best to give it a little bit a choir sound instead. I think it helps give it a bit of something... I cranked one voicing up an octave but sounds really funny even with the throat lengthening plugins... So its in there but tucked back it basically a double of lead. I also used two harmony lines and added parallel processing to give it some of that choir like sound. It's not a real choir but it sounds nice pretty cool. One of the harmonies is now above the melody.
Tweaked the mix a bit... Small stuff.

Yes a mature piece of work as Mike says and almost flawless in the mix. You could also name the song "Who You Are"
Very nice Cameron!

Overall the mix seems tighter. The backing vocals are somewhat indistinct, but that works okay, because it sounds less like "two or three tracks of me". It's more of a wall of sound now, and that will suffice.
