Finally got the guitar out and did a Dylan cover to keep it going. Not a huge effort but something at least. soundcloud.com/theirishtexan/tangled-up-in-blueMike, it's great to see you getting interested again. It's really hard but it's still lots of fun!

One of my favourite Dylan songs. The MIDI tracks are good, except I'm not keen on the 'keyboard' (?) one; it sounds like a bouncing ball, boing-ing throughout the mix. I'd be tempted to change it to something else, or try leaving it out altogether. The solo at the end could come up just a bit; it's got a nice growl to it that almost sounds MIDI-generated itself.
Stan, I've never *not* been interested; just been pulled in different directions the past decade. My ten-year-old daughter is writing her own songs now, so I had to step back up to the plate!

Mike I'm glad to see that your daughter is interested in music. That was something I wanted for my boys but neither cared a thing about it.
I stripped the song down a bit like you suggested and switched distorted guitar midi for harmonica at the end of the song.
MIDI tracks are hard to be convincing sometimes but at least it has a drift away sound as the song ends.

When I heard the solo yesterday I thought it had MIDI-like qualities, but surely Stan would be playing his own solos, wouldn't he?
The overall sound is much improved with the quasi-bluegrass band sound. It's got a nice open quality now.

It's a very long song. I remembered that the solo was Bob's harmonica at the end. I don't know why the midi makers made it distorted guitar. Maybe, because harmonica midi sounds are very hard to find, or be convincing.

Sounds good Stan, Good acoustic playing, the midi stuff was pretty darn decent. I think if you wanted to, a stan guitar solo at the end would be more effective... Good vocals. Good Work. You guys are so fast I never get a chance to complain lol That is cool that your daughter is writing songs Mike... She couldn't get a better mentor for her writing than her father

I had the stomach flu while in the middle of doing this so my energy level was not good. The song is also way too long IMO but a good song to achieve for another day maybe. Thank you guys for listening.
