I don't know why this song reminds me of a fight to conquer something so I thought of all of my friends with cancer and called it The Overcomer. This is an instrumental that I composed using EzKeys and various VST plugins. soundcloud.com/theirishtexan/the-overcomer

I like this a lot, Stan. It's catchy, stays in the head, and a clear mix with several layers. Drums are nice and crisp, and I like the organ a lot. I assume that's not you actually playing the piano part? It has a late 60's, early 70's feel which I really go for. And no guitar?
It reminds me a lot of 'Theme One' (the original version), by the late great Sir George Martin (it's on You Tube).

Thanks Mike. I was trying to get the 60s feel. I used EzKeys by Toontrack.
My little finger of both hands locks down and really hurts. My guitar playing has been almost non-existent over the past year. I've tried some lead a few times but it's just not there anymore.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that, Stan. I'll never be the lead player you have been. But it is good to see that you can still come up with exciting and interesting music, regardless.

I may have them operated on within the year. I'm hoping I get approved.

I just got an appointment to come in on Nov. 21 to look at my hand. I have what is called Dupuytren's contracture. Surgery can be quite minor with little physical therapy, or it can be major with skin grafting involved and a long time recovery. Anyway, I should know more by the end of this month and get something done around early next year. I would love to start playing guitar again; if only a couple of times a week. That's much better than once or twice a month.

Just looked it up; seems it's thought to be inherited from people of Viking descent. Hopefully you'll have the easier route and be strapping on the six-string again. Keep us posted on how it goes, Stan.
