I went back into my projects from 10 years ago on the Neil Young collab with Rob, Chris, & Mike. I was hearing too much symbol in the drums and not enough kick... I tweaked a few other instruments after a couple of hours came up with this... A little more balance and excitement overall. I probably like this song as one of the best we ever did together. www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=1447817

I agree in that I think it's one of the best collabs we did. I'm always struck by how it sounds like we were all together when it was recorded, when of course we couldn't have been farther apart in time and space. Has it been ten years? I have no memory of recording my part (unlike "Psycho", which I recall all too well).

Psycho was a little over 2 years ago and I remember how hard putting those power chords together was for me. I think we all got challenged on that because it was a free MIDI I found. The other MIDIs were songs I bought so the drums came off sounding very real.
Yeah, always enjoyed our collabs because we were all on the same timelines and ideas with each other. Always appreciate your work.

Thanks for sharing Stan, enjoyed listening to this again. I agree with Mike, it does sound like you guys were in the same room! Very cool, very lively! Enjoyed those backing vocals a lot and of course Rob did a good job on the lead. Bass and guitars are just great too. It just gets better as it goes!

It was a while back and as I remember.. We did a group of 3 songs at the same time... The other 2 were Oasis songs Rob wanted to do. I finished all of the backing tracks before handing them off to Mike & Rob. They put the actual Live magic and cohesiveness to the mix.
We all worked very well together. I admit I did a good amount of automation on the guitar parts in places during playback.
