Hey you guys! Long time no see! I have been utterly swamped and haven't been able to check in as much. I posted 3 new videos on my site and changed up the layout if anyone wants to stop in for a visit. I posted a James Taylor and Sarah McLachlan cover and just a little soft piano version of my song "Falling." I'm still unclear the direction I want that song to take. Transposed it and am tinkering. I have some new stuff to record AND I GOT A CONDENSER MIC!!! Oh my!! I have played around with it, and it sounds so amazing! It's a Blue Bird. I auditioned a few, and this one sounded great and fit my budget. When I get around to recording something with it, you all will be the first to know. Hopefully soon... I am doing another open mic night on August 13! I'm hooked. It's SO much fun!!!! This time, I have found a male partner to sing a duet with in addition to a few solo songs. We are hoping to do a Beatles cover (hooray!) from the I Am Sam Soundtrack....It's called "Two of Us" and is sung by Aimee Mann and Ben Harper. Wouldn't it be fun if we could just make music all day long? Sigh...darned that real world that just keeps reminding me I can't! haha!! Hope you all are doing well! Hugs, GF

Hey GF,
Good to see that you're OK and very busy with you music. Congratulations with your new condenser microphone.
I've been trying to have a look at your new videos, but since the new layout of your site, I seem to have lost any possibility to play your videos, or even to change the song playing. Strange.
Maybe Stan has an idea why this is ?
By the way, over here, I've had little to no time at all for my "hobby music" lately, and to be honest, the very few days off were spent on a bit of canoeing and/or just relaxing. From mid september on, things will be much more quiet (I think and hope), so I'll have more time then.

Now that I indirectly broke into GF's video page I really like the 3 new videos. Really shows both talent & emotion. Very nice keyboard playing.

Thanks for going to so much trouble! Wow! Now I'm concerned why they aren't coming up easily. Even if I'm not logged in, and I click on the word "video" under my default picture, they just pop up. I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with this, and why it's happening. Thanks for letting me know so I can check into this. Naturally, if it's not easy to navigate the page, it defeats the purpose of taking the time to make them. Good to know you are well, guys, and thanks again for checking.

OK, GF. I've looked at the new videos.
I could write a long comment, but I'll keep it short : to me, each and every new video I see or every new song I hear from you, confirm what I've said before : you've got what it takes, lady.

As per usual, you guys are the kindest on the planet! Thanks for your kind words, and for taking time out of your busy schedules to drop in for a listen. I really do appreciate it.

Hey GF,
Just to say that the only way for me to look at the videos on your new webpage is still to use Stan's link. Changing or choosing the song playing is also impossible.
I could be the only person in the entire world having this problem with your new webpage. If not, there must be some kind of problem with the webpage (the problem was not there with your previous webpage layout).

I sure wish I knew what the problem was. I know that some people are able to access everything, because the song counters keep going up and the videos have been commented on by various people. I'm just wondering why some are having issues and some aren't. When I go to my site, even if I'm not logged in, I am able to access everything except for pictures. I just click on the word video, and all of them come up, and I can click on the one I want. Also, without logging in, I am able to click on any song in the roster and it comes up. I will write to MySpace and see if there's something I've done incorrectly when I added the code for the little rays and clouds design. I'm sorry for all the fuss. No doubt, it's something I've goofed up. Mike, Tom, have you experienced the same problem? Yoo hoo. Mike? Tom? I think Tom is on vacation.....

Hi GF, Yes all Navigation buttons & links are dead but not so from other pages in Myspace; specifically yours. Even your song player buttons don't work so I can't even select songs.
I'd given it a test from work, but my company's firewall blocks any access to Myspace.
Sorry. Hope everything gets figured out.

I've written in to the tech site support. On the FAQ's there was a mention about embedded HTML/ CSS coding that could even possibly have piggy-backed it's way into my comments. I've gone thru and deleted all the comments that had odd pictures, twinkly things, and embedded video... etc. to see if that helps. I can't tell if it helped because all the navigation buttons are working for me with or without logging in.
I have a question. After I changed my background on my page to the blue, were you ever able to navigate the songs or did it immediately stop working for you? I'm trying to figure out exactly when the problem occurred because I changed things in stages. Isn't it so odd, though, that some people can navigate the page and some can't....so weird.... I guess I can always go back to the regular page layout. Makes no sense to have something cute if it doesn't work! It would figure that with all the people with fancy/ shmancy pages out there, I'd be the one to be able to screw it up! haha!
Sigh.....

It immediately stopped working.
One thing's for sure : it has nothing to do with us using XP or Vista : I did a little test on all the PC's in the house (two XP and one Vista) and I even took my laptop to a WiFi hotspot (a friends restaurant) : same problem.
Could it have something to do with the flashplayer we're using ?
If I were you, GF, I'd go back to the regular page layout till things are sorted out.

The mystery continues...I sent out random notes to friends from my page, told them of my issue, and asked them to see if they could view the videos, and they were able to...
Hopefully MySpace will contact me today.

Since some are navigating my site with ease and others find it frozen, the suggestion given to me was to ask the folks who can't navigate to update their flash media/ browsers to see if that alleviates the problem. Apparently, if it was a HTML code flaw, no one would be able to navigate my page, but most people are, so they are suggesting things like updating browsers/ flash player/ speed connection. I hope whatever it is, it's easy and cheap!
I am trouble. ;D
